The Death of a Tear
Drowning eyes of empty dreams…fading into the past without memories console…
Wounding another heart; who became the last to know…
Like a frontier wandering into the marsh of grasslands,
Unknown…forbidden…undeserved like rising quicksand…
There are no barbs to free the paths paved in hindsight’s grave of love’s despair…
Stones of trespass…thrown into the lake of regrets; kissed by promises broken,
remain within rippling of visions…left to fade into the banks of consequence…
Steadfast as summer storms…the death of a tear is abandoned to goodbye…

Heartache and regret are often too much a part of life. But then is when we must say goodbye to pain by forgiving the trespass--for our own salvation--and acknowledge the event as a circumstance in our life that permits us to grow and say, "Now, I'll begin my life again, Ab Initio."
I invite our readers to my recent short story titled Crooked Woman Fool which recites as a lesson-of-life an account of the broken promise of love.
My dearest Victoria, your poetic lyrics present the dynamic intensity and authority of an Old Soul that has suffered many wounds. May you live under the gentle umbrella of God's grace and comfort.
A brilliant write of depth and quality.
With love and sincere respect,
Richard
