Yes it was Pink...

Her memories are non-fading within vintage vines
growing along abandons broken door hinges
...some say the property was built overseeing
sacred Iroquoian Indian burial grounds...

...she never understood why the hemp rugs
were made from the beauty of exotic earth tones
and yet...they painted a 2 story farm home
shades of pastel ivory and fuchsia pink hues
sitting through a long winding gravel driveway
uptop on a beautiful hillside in plain view.

Vickie,
You gave this character a sense of depth very quickly. Nicely done! Hugs,

This poem, Vickie, goes well beyond the setting and the descriptors to evoke an atmosphere and a metaphorical life story, an attitude, a way of seeing.

What a picture of soul! Long and winding driveway to a life in the past.

Sacrifice, a woman's life taken at the hands of evil, why did not the spirit Iroquois hear her cries, mistress...the tarot only knows, her cards upon the floor in the hands of the young girl in That Pink Farm House...it's time to get the answers now in your own deck...Death makes its appearance, the color of blood transformed into earth tones of rebirth on hemp rugs inhale the High Priestess, guardian of the unconscious, she sits in front of the thin veil of awareness...it's not time to sweep the floor, but time to collect the dirt...you'll know when it's time to throw it out for good through even more "housecleaning" mind cleansing you have to do...

Love,
Sage
