Children have a different view of their world.

There's a little green frog

in the pond in mummy's garden.

I think I'll go and catch him

Just to see what he will say.

But Mummy says to leave him

Where he's wet and happy swimming.

I suppose he's happy staying

In the pond all through the day.

child song

There's a little elf a'sleeping

By the pond in Mummy's garden.

I think I'll go and wake her

Just to see what she will say.

But mummy says to leave her

Where she's happy curled up, sleeping

I suppose so, but it's silly

To waste a sunny day.

Grandpa is a'snoring

In a chair in mummy's garden.

I think I' go and wake him,

Just to see what he will say.

But mummy says to leave him

Where he's happy, sleeping, dreaming.

I suppose he's happy snoring

The holidays away.

This is such a charming little poem! I can easily imagine it becoming a children's story book, with delightful pictures throughout.

Olita,

The child's curiousity knows no bounds...delightful! I think your Mummy's right...leave them be. Grampa, especially...they usually get sore when you disturb them when a'snoring. :) Enjoyed this, thank you!

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.
