Cuddly and soft, I rub your coat of brown,
Bringing my face to a smile from a frown
Amid whimpers and yelps and puppy licks.
There is no problem your cuteness can’t fix.

I love your dark eyes and your face so sweet.
Your shiny black nose and your big white feet.
You snuggle closer. How warm you can be!
Your puppy heart beats wildly against me.

Your head is so big, your body so small.
When you grow up, you will be big and tall.
You will sprout up soon, and time will adjust
To make you a loyal dog I can trust.

We’ll surely bond more each day, you and me.
Inseparable friends! That’s what we’ll be.
I’ll know you; you’ll know me, my doggy friend.
We will share it all to the very end.
