A POET'S WORD-LIFE
In grandeur we often dream our dreams
of peace and love and joys unseen,
then share these in poetic verse,
with thoughtful words we would dispurse.
In real-life times we simplify
by wit we choose to imply
that we accept our fate
yet, with each step, we hesitate.
We can only fully live our lives
if we accept what is, and thrive
on what good we may leave behind,
something fruitful, ne'er unkind.
Of sadness we oft' do write
that takes us to the dark of night.
But, lo, we waken to skies of blue,
and brighten with a life anew.
So choose our words, o' poets dear,
as careful as we'd want to hear;
then once our time on Earth is gone
our words should linger ever on.

Wise and worthy words, Micke. Well done! Thank you. Love and best wishes,

hope that the words they leave behind will not do harm but perhaps
add a little joy to some reader's life. -gene.
