Floating Red Roses

Floating red roses on the swift moving river.
Sitting and watching the direction they choose.
Images of last time elicit in my soul a cold shiver.
Sprinkling ashes amidst the many tears that fell.

Floating red roses in hopes that you may see,
Winter now has come and gone.
Trees are budding, and still sun rays will not warm me.
The ice in my heart warms to no stimuli.

Floating red roses as my gift to you,
Life's blood ran the same as the current.
Please talk to me and tell me what to do.
It's been almost a year and still I go on.

Floating red roses as a sign of my last hope,
Water is so high and they go rushing by.
Taking with them all my methods to cope.
Lend me your strength so that I might proceed.

Kissing each rose before sending it to you..
I miss you Mom and I still need you too..

Dearest Robin,
Such a beautiful
tribute to your mothers
memory...
She has never left you..
For the bond of mother and child can never be
severed...
If you close you eyes
and listen...you will
hear her and feel her
right inside of your heart...

God Bless...
Trixie

Absolutely beautiful. You captured the coldness of loss very well. Loved the river metaphor. Well penned. Gregg PS- Sorry, welcome to the den.
