Light like wisdom shall lead the way.
Inhaling the darkness, but wanting the light to stay.
Streaks of a simple shade of grey.
Patiently awaiting the darkness to go away.
When nothing filled me I clung to pride.
My exterior looking strong while I crumbled inside.
This year has been one long and bumpy ride.
My heart ravaged and my soul trying to hide.
Must black be so pervasive?
All consuming too invasive.
Loneliness kept me restrained.
Numbness, my friend kept me contained.
Trembling inside..Nobody could see.
Standing outside..Sadness owned me.
Fornicating with the shade started feeling like sin.
Those who embrace darkness shall never win.
It's been cold and lonely where I've been.
Revel in the warmth now against my skin.
Dwelling in the darkness gave me quite a fright.

I agree so much that those who embrace darkness will not win. And those of us who the darkness embraces always have hope.
I loved this-the rhyming is very creative and the message is so positive.
