Me… well I think most of you know my
Feelings on the subject of the ocean and
Dolphins, so I’ll skip that part and say that
I consider myself to be quite adventurous.
I take risks and love speed. The thought
Of traveling in a spaceship going at warp
Speed, thrills me. Once standing at the
Shoreline, I felt the earth move. I looked
Up and saw the Concorde. My heart stopped
What a sleek, majestic, long and impressive.
Aircraft.

I’m 5’2” dark brown hair, just under my ears
With bangs (had it cut yesterday). I won’t lie
And say I’m slim. I could stand to loose a
Good 10-15 lbs. Endowed front and back.
Some may say that’s a good thing, but they
Have never had to keep looking down to see
If their buttons are still buttoned or tried
On a beautiful dress in the store and have it
Not fit. I am a hopeless romantic, and swoon
Easily. I love long romantic letters that when
I finish them I clutch them to my heart, or
Put both hands on my monitor. I tear easily
At babies, children and just about anything
That goes anywhere near my heart.

I am very down to earth, a sincere, trusting
And loyal friend. I don’t hold grudges. If
I think you’re angry, I’ll ask if there’s anything
That I did to cause it. Materialistic things are
A bit of a turn off to me. I’d much rather
Know about you, not what you have or can get.

Family, love and friendship are very important
To me. I adore children, and teach 4 year olds.
I get to sing, play color and act silly four hours
A day. I love it, but when it’s time to go home
I am dragging.

Honesty is another attribute of mine. I am a
good cook and love to try out new recipes.

I love my in laws, and they are my parent’s
Best friends. I play (ed) the piano for 9 years
And really didn’t have an appreciation for classical
Music or piano until after we got rid of it and I
Didn’t have it to play on. Wind chimes are my
favorite also, and I collect them. There’s
Nothing like listening to them sitting on a beach
Looking out into the minty turquoise water.

I’ve never kept a journal, but I love to write and have
Been writing now for 2 years. My writing tends to
To ramble because I type my first thoughts as
They pop into my mind. That’s why this may be out
Of sequence

Hope I did well on this challenge. Oh yes, I do have
A temper and like to have my way, but then again,
Who doesn’t? I am always willing to compromise, and
I DON’T like the silent treatment and being told
“That’s enough”

EXCUSE ME! Where in the world were you before I got to old and you decided to marry ...... huh? I've been looking all over this world for the attributes and sensitivities in a woman that you've expressed in your prose above. Dang it girl, I (snivel) just can't take it knowing that somewhere our parallel lines (sob, sob) were not meant to intertwine. Enough silliness. You shine with the wholesome radiance of goodness and peaceful feelings. Your main squeeze is a very fortunate man in deed. Most sincere appreciation for your comments on my pithy writing. Monty.PS the word "swoon" got my attention especially from someone as young as yourself. Swoon on young-un.

Hi Marilyn, long time no read :) Beautiful portrait of yourself you weave here with your words... I agree especially about materialistic things being a turn-off. Usually I find that though it may not be the case with most people, the ones I have come into contact with who value what they have more than what they can give aren't as happy as they could be... :)

You are a great person Merilyn, and random thoughts are the best to express our feelings. After all poetry is the expression of our feelings and thoughts are the windows of our feelings right? :) :)

Thanks for visiting my page and reading so many of my poems. You really, really made my day.
