There are days when the poetry flows,
some when it's hard to coax,
others when it gushes full blown--
diificult to shut off before being soaked.
Either way I enjoy the challenge,
the chance to tell stories
or express emotions (even stingily),
to put into words life's queries.
Perhaps, writing poetry
is a simple way
to keep a diary
of my life from day to day.
In any case, it's something to do.
