Within the shadows lines are blurred emotions worn and tattered… When cold winds breathe into the heart its loveless veins are shattered. The lifeline bleeds in icicles of raging red demise… Forsaken love remembers only death in whispered lies. Where fear surrounds like spider webs a darkened silk cocoon… Wrapped ‘round the eyes a swollen mask that mocks the sun and moon. Indifferent to day or night, the soul that’s bent in sorrow… Perceptions skewed by past regret foreshadow each tomorrow. When torture twists the blade in wound exaggerating pain… The heartbeat slowly fades its tune in suffering refrain. Yet no soul knows this agony of lonesome heart disease… More lucid than the one whose loss has brought them to their knees.

Yet no soul knows this agony
of lonesome heart disease…
More lucid than the one whose loss
has brought them to their knees.

Truer words have never been spoken. Loneliness is a disease and it is running rampant in our country of "Meism" Great write, Melissa.
