Don't ask...LOL

In a circle you spin
with no end or beginning
a spiraling game
don’t know losing from winning.
It’s easy to fade on this merry-go-round
think it’s safe to assume that you’re lost
‘till you’re found.

Taking chances you shouldn’t
igniting the fuse
asking something for nothing
is no way to choose.
For in living there’s dying and what comes between
just unfolds by the moment
for plenty or lean.

So why cry for tomorrow
when it may not be
it’s today that still matters
if only you’d see.
Open eyes to the mirror and maybe you’ll find
what lies deep ‘neath reflection
is simply your mind.

While the fog may obscure it
in lies and excuses
if you are still breathing
then it still has uses.
In feeding it thought is the food of the soul
to embrace what may come
is the strength to be whole.

Melissa,
Firstly, I cant say how much I appreciate you drinking my words, the many kind things you say, mean much my friend, for I deem them earnest of deep. With that said sweet maiden to this piece, if it had no more than just these words, it would have satisfied my hunger of day. Well done...
In sincereity I leave you this day,
Rodney Evan Bohen
