You know that dream
when you are falling into infinity?
well, that is what happened to me
when I met you
I didn't even know at first that
the force of gravity was pulling me
so deeply into you until I finally
touched down and suddenly I was
drowning deep in emotions that
I didn't even know I had built up.
I saw you slipping out of my hold
and I panicked
I drowned in my own tears and
wondered where such an endless
supply of water came from.
Had I known
I surely would have run
fast and hard to escape you
But you caught me by surprise.
I thought I was being careful and
could hold onto you
from arm's length
but little by little
trickle by trickle
you managed to slip into
my subconscious and leave me
overwhelmed with pain
I didn't know still existed inside
I wonder if I'll ever be able to
catch my breathe again without
feeling the pain of losing you
at the bottom of my wishing well.
