We followed the Light
through the clouds, in the sky
with our minds, with our eyes
till its brightness was blinding
and dimness denied
and was frightening!
See! Through the night, He guides us!
Hear! In the din, He calls!
Emmanuel is lightening
Age upon Age He falls
like stardust
enlivening.
We saw Him then, that far-off day
when Herod dreamed and the air was cold.
We made ourselves small
and offered our gifts
(ourselves already were given those
long, long months of travel, and weary)
we cried:
He was so immensely small
and we were so in awe of this
our Creation–Creator,
our All in All!
He’s with us still as we travel on,
and our eyes are clear
and our minds are pure
Yummy, beautiful words. The second stanza was my favorite. I love that short-long-short repetition.
I've nibbled on it twice now, love it. I'll eat most of it, but I'll save some really good words and plant them in my garden. Who knows...? Perhaps they'll grow up to be another poem some day. --Charlie
This second revised edition describes, from Onlinesss Self Awakening perspective, the major Truth-consciousness realm-waves of transcendent Self Awakening
This composition sings the will of a faithful soul, and depicts the impressions of heedful eyes... A poetic beauty.
