Sometime we let others completely control our own destiny.

I’ll Just Sit Here!

I just know he’s gonna call, so I’ll just sit here.
He’s gonna write to me this week, so I’ll just sit here.
He won’t forget to bring me flowers, so I’ll just sit here.
I’ll just sit and wait, I know he won’t be late, I’ll just sit here.

No call came but I sat there.
No letter came, I just sat there.
I didn’t get the flowers but I sat there.
He didn’t come, and I still sat there.

This isn’t why God made me, just to sit here and wait.
He had so much more in mind, from a deserving mate.
He wants me to live and grow and be faithful to HIM only.
So no more waiting for this man, no more feeling lonely.

I’m done with hoping, wishing & waiting by just sitting there.
I’m gonna get myself up & moving and I’ll get out of that chair.
I have so much life left in me; I won’t waste one minute more.
I’m gonna get dressed, put makeup on and I’m headed for that door.

Sometimes you just sit and wait and your life goes flying by.
Not truly living the life you should, you’re simply preparing to die.
So I’ll wait for no man ever again, life is too precious to loose.
And I will soar high as an Eagle or do anything else I choose.

Bonnie May

Me too, I'm tired of waiting for "men" to come to my door so out I will also go, make-up and all to do my thing, on my own...LOL, Ed

Sometimes we all need to grab life and embrace it with God's love, beautiful and moralistic piece....

Bonnie,

A poem to make the reader get up and seize the day: time (and love) wait for no one! Well done.

Just substitue "woman" for "man" and this fits quite nicely, Bonnie. Thank you for sharing the wisdom. Love and blessings to you,

Regis

We've all been there. Wishing and hoping someone will like us...and the waiting was the cruelest and most painful part when the person doesn't surface.

Waiting truly is the hardest part, but soaring like an Eagle, is truly marvelous.

By the phote I suggest you put on a skirt or you will make the fellows to forget where they go and that bus coming looks kind of mean and no in the mood for brakes!
But...if you want to wait, we can do it together (don't tell hubby)

Bonnie,

Beautifully written, yes sometimes we have to wait. Than once again, we are in charge of our own destiny, and have to move life ourselves.
The last line is so true though, "And I will soar as an Eagle or do anything I chose". Really loved it.

Mary
