I Have a Love

I have a love and he is fine, so fine.

I drink him in like good, sweet wine.

He showers me with hope and light

And tender, tender is our night.

I have a love who makes me smile.

All he has to do is be with me awhile.

And it’s true he can make me frown.

If he walks away my smile turns down.

I have a love who is my true friend.

He holds me up and lets me help him

So I feel his strength so sure and still

I feel he needs me too, and always will.

I have a love who is forever.

And are not the fates perfectly clever?

I’ll want my love exactly that long.

I know our bond is just that strong.
