Thomas, my dear husband who braved carrying a bouquet of flowers inside Red Lobster to meet me after 3 months of Internet interaction; 2 1/2 years later, we're still madly in love!
Tension wasn't the word for it,
Anxiety was closer to the truth.
Fantasies turned into realities
and then there was you.
But, then the flowers came too.
Pink carnations, and yes, a couple of roses
To make the arrangement perfect in sight.
Conversations were delightful
With smiles all through the night.
The scent of the flowers going left
and then they were spinning right.
Evenings come to an end,
This one did too.
But, she drove away with the flowers
Knowing the relationship was new.
Happiness rose up so fast,
She didn't know how to react.
She expected him to be there,
A meal, a movie too,
But, then there was the fine gentleman...
The flowers came too.
Now the tensions and anxieties fanished fast,
left in its place were new memories,
and hope finally at last.
It's a week later and the flowers are
Still new; nice that the flowers came too.
