Today being the first of 2004, I began my day reflecting on my Chariot Ride

Chariot Ride of 2003
The final lap of 2003 ends
With me no longer feeling adrift
Sometimes, it brought me to my knees
Even here in this submission
I'm able to comprehend God's glorious gifts
Where have I ridden in the past 365 days?
While tossing worn and useless, garb aside
Oh! I plan to ride again someway soon someday
This Golden Chariot with its special glide
On this journey, we cruised… reaching toward heaven
Finishing Earth's School with myriad revelations adored
Experiencing being repulsed by hatred in corridor seven
Often feeling paralyzed by terrorism and ignored
While I swam my laps in life's illusive pools
The Golden Chariot majestically flew… led by three mares
We went flying on Paradise Trips, which never came true
Miraculously, holding onto my salvation because of sharing
This Chariot Ride of 2003, even in its wake
Compelled me to share with my sisters and brothers
My deep faith and love of God for my sanity's sake
Surely, it comforted me to grow and share honestly with others
On this fabulous excursion, while working out imperfections
Today, I'm convinced my soul will outlive my body and mind
Even gladder am I, that its Driver knew the directions
Thank you, Golden Chariot for helping me to find
