I have often heard the phrase ‘Hang Tough’

When I am holding on so hard that blood

Is running from my fingertips and there is no help in sight

 Particularly help from the guy who is telling me to ‘Hang Tough’ with no explanation of how I should do so.

Know this , I am a tough fingertip hanger. I have hung with the best of them, blood and all.

 Having said that, it would be really great if somebody would say ‘Friend let me give you a hand’ ‘How can I help you?

 This has not yet happened.

I guess that old saying ’God helps those who helps themselves’ is probably true so here goes.

 God, will you please pass the hammer and nails .

 I seem to be in a bind down here
