Like bristles on my chin we clung to each others skin
and I hung tightly to you .

I never want to let you go of that embrace that gripped us together like glue .

I thought how close we are and caught a glimpse of some words in the shape of a poem .

We were introduced by love and since then we have walked blindly into the unknown .

Life and love happened to us on the way and everyday I thank God you came .

I’ll know we’re getting old together but one day we will be like children again .

I feel heavens presence is always with us and that is where I know we will go .

So with the promise we made and the love we have that is all that I need to know .

It’s hard to see an eternal light through the cracks of sunlight in an afternoon .

But I have seen the glow of hope and I know it will be shinning forever soon .

I know innocence and joy came to my world the day that heaven brought you to me .

I’ve seen past the pearly gates to where God has build us a home called eternity .

I’ve seen the compassion that pours out forever from the gentle words you have said .

I’ve felt kindness and love surround us when we’re lying next to each other in bed .

I’ve seen some things that get in the way of a message that is trying to get through .

So I love the closeness we often share and I love sharing the future with you .

You’ve shared my dreams and I’ve heard your prayers and God knows our love is true .


Thank you for each year that passes and thank you for the precious but brief passing time .

Sometimes words are hard to say . Some times things get in the way,
but I'm so glad you're mine '
