My mother carried me then gave birth ,
in a hospital on planet earth .
Tough times everyone was going through .
She accepted all she had to do .
In the tiny house where we did dwell , she raised five children and worked as well .
I never heard her complain at all ,even when her back was to the wall .
She saw me crawling before I walked and heard me screaming before I talked .
She encouraged me to keep trying .
She loved us all there’s no denying .
She was honest and she spoke the truth .
She had faith and we were all the proof ,
of God’s existence in all we do .
We all shared what she was going through .
We learned to survive with nothing at all ,
but we were happy and we stood tall .
A sweet tribute to your mother.I enjoy reading it.Next time you should write a poem call "Son Did Her Proud" because I am sure she is proud of the type of man that you've become.Take care of yourself and Happy Mother's Day to your mother
