Once I had a friend and it was the summer of my life .

Then the season changed and suddenly I had lost my wife .

She left me in the summer in the middle of the day ,
I never saw it coming , there was nothing I could say .

How callously her thought out plan ,
How could she do she this thing ,
She sold everything I owned then she took off her wedding ring .

With nothing in my pocket and nothing left in my heart .

I looked for answers in the dark and made a brand new start .

The spring came with an abundance of new fruits to enjoy ,
The love and faith that has carried me no one can destroy .

There’s one thing never changes in the seasons of our lives ,
The love of God will always be the one thing that survives .
