Oh, Sue, I love this poem! I enjoyed!

I gather my ducks in a row when I'm alone..
but I love being around people and new people
I never try to move in though..
I know what your saying in this excellent piece of poetry...

Oh, Sue, how well I understood these lines!
I spent yesterday in "alone time" also...and it brought me
great peace.

I love my alone time. I never knew what peace was until I finally decided to live alone. I have been a "solo flyer" for so long now that I rarely, if ever, feel lonely. My time is my own and every once in a while, I feel that perhaps I am being selfish spending so much of my time by myself when I should be spending it with my friends. I do love it though, and I don't have any wishes to change it anytime soon. I certainly can relate to this poem, Sue. I am glad to know that you found some special time to spend with yourself.

This is lovely! There is a quote by Sartre that goes something like this, "Those who are lonely when they are alone are in poor company". I think the thing is balance...
