It Just Ain't All That Bad

I want so bad to complain, snivel and whine
I want to say my life sucks and I’m tired of it
But truth of the matter is it ain’t all that bad
We got snow and ice but it didn’t keep us in
My sister and I still went shopping like any other day
Sliding into parking places adds a new element
I have hepatitis c but the treatments seem to be working
And I’m handling them better than anyone expected
The economy isn’t good, I just lost 2/3 of my retirement
When the company I work for behaved enethically
But I have years to recupe yet…
I’m single and unattached but I have some lovely friends
Who never let me be lonely, and if they are only online
I don’t have to make them coffee or snacks
Or wish they knew when to go home…
I’m telling you
My life may not be what some people think is wonderful
But it just ain’t all that bad either

within the commonplace we must seek the mystical...

i've discovered in the last few years that we are in charge of our destiny, maybe we can't make ourselves rich or famous on cue, but we can certainly control the value we put in and and value we get out of our lifes. i have heard people scorn the internet but i assure you, my life is fuller and happier for having known every one of you and if you ever need a friend, if it is within my power to do so, i would be there for you in a minute.

Hi Hessy,
What are you whining at this week, you moaning old minnie.
You have a family, lovely grandchildren, lots of friends, that care about you.
I did a bit of whinging like you just before Christmas, till my friend went down with cancer, leaving a wife and young family.

Tell you what Hessy, life does not seem any where as grim now.----Morchuis

Ps only joking, life can be a right bastard.

Sue, I do wish I could cheer you up and make everything better. But I am so far away and can only send you my heart through
these word of love that I can offer. I feel toward you a gentleness inside of me and a caring you probably wouldn't understand. But I mean it and I am sure you will see that others at AD care for you also and wish they could do more. Bill
