memories of long long ago when innocence sheathed my world and rainbows didn't frown

in another time

you promised me

a loaf of bread

some cheese

a jug of wine.

 

in another place

hearts spoke of love

unborn children

shared dreams

white irish lace.

 

in another life

we raced the wind

and touched the sky

two songs

bagpipe and fife.

 

in another time

another place

another life

i believed in promises

I like this, Lori, it reminds me of a scene from a romance novel in its description and has a strong depth of feeling in it, a sadness for what could have been, what was, but not enough. Good one, Lori girl-see you tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Love, Michelle
