Fear paralyzes the strong and weak
Doubt harbors mistrust and retreat
We further no cause if we fail to act
Abdication and resignation reveal the fact
That we must prepare to face hard truths
Speak honestly and openly to our troops
Debates deter no one who stands firm
Serve no purpose but for a second term
Challengers who must deliver a knockout punch
Lay out a plan with only a hunch
Careful to pontificate and slow on specifics
Portends disaster that can be horrific
Steady our course we continue to demand
Ever watchful nations who follow our command
Leadership derives from thoughtful conviction
To think otherwise belies a dereliction
Of our promises made on nine-eleven
To our fallen Americans now in heaven
Promises do not make one presidential
When decisive action remains essential
This election is not about character assassination
It’s about duty and honor to protect a nation
Vote your conscience and do what’s right
Freedom is secured when we unite
