Why Bother To Love?

Love has faded and is jaded and outmoded.
So it seems.

Love again?
Why bother?
Who wants
The pain!
 
Playing games
Like
Dodging Trains
Electrified
like
Being fried
 
Who wants
To clean the mess
Post divorce
love is
Epidemic
 
Why bother?
To love at all?
 
Love's a Joke
But no ones laughing
Except those insanely
In love
 
Love's got no cure
Just a revolving door 
At least in my case
It's left a bitter taste
 
A cynical wink
 
Love holds no interest
For me anymore
 
Why bother going down
The same roads as before?

Oh, Andrea! You have no idea how much your verses "speak" to my soul. I can so relate. And yet, to give up on love seems like it's not an option. What else is there? Love is all. So, thank you for sharing and I extend my love and best wishes to you with respect.
