A killer deal is hard to resist

Neil sang “Out of the blue into the black,

Once you’re gone you can’t come back.”

Ten thousand clams will get you whacked,

Friends are enemies, so watch your back.

Living a life of crime gave him thrills,

Desperate housewives paid his bills.

Double-crosser’s graveyards he filled,

Arboretums of those suckas he killed.

See my brudda was this hit-man Fat Bob,
Who would kill for grilled corn-on-the-cob.
Till Sammy the Bull knocked out Bob’s teeth,
A baseball bat retired them in a vicious beef.

They made him an offer he could not refuse,
Fat Bob, dead or alive, was easy to choose.
Over pasta e fagioli and vino he took the job,
Now, brudda Bob, grills snitches for da Mob.

Hey Starman,

Creative poetic thoughts abound here. I have friends who used to be Mafia. I had a chance to join and I moved on....

May peace be with you, love be in you and blessings flow over you,

Very creative. My partner is in love with Mafia tales. It seems that there are many tales still untold like the one you just conveyed to us. Today it's more lucrative to be a snitch than to be made.

Ah, organized crime, i.e., the Mafia . . . They're still around, yes, and their code of honor(?) is still duty-bound. From Sicily them came to the Land of Opportunity, and seized it within pasta and garlic hands and hasn't let go to this day. They were idolized in print and movies, their bad guys (weren't they ALL bad?) someone to be admired. Tough, bad-asses all . . . Hey! Gumba, pass da Romano.
