FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART

I’m out of gas,

With a smile you said that day

A lifelong friend

Had surely come my way.

You’re Southern style

You opened doors for me

You held my hand

And guided gently.

We talked for hours

That night we first met

Our hearts were joined together

You surprise me even yet

The Lord’s hand held us

He knew just what to do

He bound our hearts together

Until we said I do.

He’s been our companion,

Everyday we wake to see

What He’s planned for us

On this journey yet to be.

We thank you Lord for everything

You’ve given us thus far

You’re standing right beside us

You keep our lives on par.

We invited you to join us

In our journey on the way

Thank you for this man

You sent to me that day.

Lord I know,

You knew it from the start

That I would always love him

From the bottom of my heart.
