Father’s Day

Each of us has roots –

The people in our lives

Who gave us our start.

They protect us when we are small,

Or weak, or hurt.

They feed us in loving, caring ways.

They teach us when we need knowledge,

Or guidance, or correction.

We return the love we receive

When we listen and appreciate these gifts.

Then, the cycle starts again with our own families.

Father’s Day honors the men in our lives

Who give so much to us.

We thank them gratefully!

And, oh yes, thank You, Heavenly Father,

For being our father, too!
