Knowing you have done your best
When the angels come to claim you

amazing!! i've been reading your poems for a while now you are VERY talented.. i enjoyed this one a lot.
Some excellent thoughts here, Linda, exhorting us to live each moment as if it might be our last in terms of what we can sow into the lives of those around us - so much more precious than striving for the next material "want" which turns to dust (or, in my house, accumulates dust!) the minute you get it. When all is said and done, I guess it is up to each of us to set our own priorities and seek to live by them... increasingly difficult in the fast-paced world we're living in in which we can feel so disempowered to "go against the flow". You certainly strike the nail on the head with this profound and poignant write, Linda. We all should review our lives on a frequent basis, making sure that we do not lose sight of our personal goals, compassion for others and moral integrity.
