Hear the words I have to say
Looking all around me, Lord
The world get's worse every day
There's a homeless man on the corner
He just sits and cries
He loses faith in humankindness
As his spirit slowly dies
Could you touch his heart, dear Lord
Bring him from deep despair
Give him a reason to go on living
Let him know you're there

A little girl bruised and broken
Hiding behind her closet door
Her fear is real as shadows consume her
She can't take it anymore
Lord, protect her from the demons
That live deep in her soul
Her mind is full of beatings and rage
The truth she never told
Be with all the children in the world
Who's tears fall like the rain
The abused and the hurting Lord,
Reach down and ease their pain

A Mother kneels in prayer
Her anquished heart is screaming
Please let her know You're there
No money for food or housing
She don't know just what she'll do
Three hungry kids to provide for
In despair she comes to You
So much pain in this world, Lord
Sometimes we can't go on
Wrap your loving arms around us
Never leave us alone
Dear Linda, you have done a splendid work in favour of the people who are losing their soul, the children becoming orphans and the poor facing more and more miseries! Linda,such a caring poem of love for those less fortunate.By seeing,recognizing,caring and writing you help remove the blinders from those that don't see,soften the heart of those that do not care and make those who do not recognize aware of the circumstances of those less fortunate. There is a war few mention going on as we speak.A battle for souls not blood do they seek.To pick a side takes courage and faith.Linda you are a woman who stands at God's gate.

"Dear Lord" is an outstanding poetic composition delivering several messages, including one claiming for JUSTICE... Throughout its wise lines One can learn sage ways to convey a message... "Dear Lord" has paid its due to the treasury of Poetry, enriching the golden book of The American Fine Letters.
