Mommy , where did you buy this...Mommy
please give me a kiss?
Mommy, I spilled juice on the floor-
Can I have a little more?
Mommy can I play in the mud?
I will wear a coat and hood!
Mommy where are my shoes?
Mommy can I watch Blue's Clues?
Mommy, it's just a little dirt!
Mommy, I fell down and it hurts!
Mommy fix me something to eat-
Mommy your make up sure is neat!
I did'nt mean't mean to use it all- But it
looks so good painted on the walls!
Mommy , come look , I picked this
for you-
It's a beautiful flower....Mommy is this
flower blue?
Mommy, is there a tear in your eye?
I didnt mean to make you cry!
A hug for you Mommy, and I want you
to know-
You're the bestest Mommy in the world-
And I love you so!!!
Authors Note: This is dedicated to my precious three year old granddaughter, Brooke...and to all the Mothers who understand what I mean by this poem!
Oh YES, I do understand. And no matter how OLD they get, I STILL and always will love the sound of "mommy" as it pulls at my heartstrings. Thanks Linda, this was beautiful
