Rape ( The Terror )

The heat is searing into me as I put
the groceries away-
Air conditioner broken down - the
TV won't even play.
What's that? - The door shut-
No one should be here-
I call out but no one answers -
my first inkling of fear.
He looms before me - holding a
gun- God, please help me!
He grabs me - throws me on the floor-
Oh God! I can't get free!
I try to scream - he holds me down-
covers my mouth with his hand-
Clothes ripping - Oh God , it's mine -
Oh, how I hate this man!

The gun points to my head - my scream
echos thru the night-
He whispers in my ear - Do as I say-
and you will be allright!
He tries to kiss me , Oh God, I'm trying
hard to get away-
His hands are all over me - I'm to
scared to pray!
He presses me close to him - my
clothes a heap on the floor-
My knee raises up and reaches it's
mark - I get up and race for the door.
Not fast enough- he hits me- blood
running down my face-
I lay on the floor in horror -I look
at him in distaste.

He lays on top of me - I can't move-
I can only cry-
I close my eyes as he paws at me-
God, I just want to die!
His hands make me sick - all over me-
Please leave me alone-
I scream in terror - all worth and
self respect is gone!
His eyes are cruel and cold as he plunges
inside of me-
No chance of getting away - he takes
my dignity!
He gets up while I cry - He gets up
while I die - runs out the door-
God , I can't move - I can't get
up off the floor.
Body aching - I hurt inside - so dirty
and used I feel-
How will I ever survive - How will
I ever heal?

Tears and blood - all around - I can't
bear the pain-
My life has changed from this moment-
it will never be the same!

Authors Note: There are so many women and men out there who are raped every day. Let's get them off the streets!!! Let's make our world a little safer..a little better, by saying a simple prayer and by being AWARE of the dangers out there. God be with us all...

Oh what an Awesome write Linda! I feel sadness for victims of rape abuse and it's very unfortunate to have to deal with such terror and pain. My heart goes out for them, there has to be much misogyry of evil men who prey on innocent women taking their precious dignity. Oh I can't express in words how repulsive and degrading one must feel being in this situation. Very emotional and thanks for sharing. Peace and blessings to you and yours! :)

really terrifyng, well written. It is unfortunate that the media elite do not really care about rape,

you should read my piece og John Kerry, the democratic party has lost all reality and respect for itself and women. As a metter of fact, well never mind

a absolutely superb writing. You have managed to take on a subject that is all to real for a lot of men and women. The emotional and physical scars that rape leaves on a person is huge. I hope that this poem will help just one person that has been raped. May the person not hold it in and tell nobody. If this has happened to you, please get the help. You have done it again linda...

It's disgusting how some people spoil the entire lives of others just for a moment of sexual pleasure. A big YUCK. This terrifies me and angers me too. No one should hide their feelings...they have to come in the open. Being raped is not a sin, it's not our fault is it? Excellent write Linda!

Linda, my soul stirring poetic friend, You've done it again! Once more you've gone to a place where few others dare to tread, in the hurting secret tunnel of our experiences. How beautiful and heartwrenching. Yes, rape is a gun fully loaded that keeps firing, exploding over and over inside the victim's head. Let us pray for all who have walked in these shoes. All we can do is try to understand, but never fully...Soulful healing work! I'm touched.
Love,
Marion

The first step to getting them off the streets is realizing that unless they are acting out, they do not appear to be monsters. We have got to get over being shocked that for somebody everyone of them is the next door neighbor. I empathize. Vicky

You captured it so well Honey. A horrible kind of rape of the body that touches your soul. The thing that does not show is the rape of the mind that also occurs. Well told dear. I love you Bill. Hugs xoxo

Its unthinkable that someone will have to go through such pain and experience. This is why I beleive in hell and heaven. People who get away with crime now will never get away with it for ever. Thanks for the courage to share this.
