So many people are in pain
I see it every day
Taking the wrong road
They're being lead astray
Hearts bleeding from within
Tears falling to the floor
Screaming to the silent shadows
They can't take it anymore
How can I touch that soul
Lighten the cross they bear
How can I make a difference Lord, they need someone to care

A cardboard box in the alley
Its somebody's home
How does it feel to lose everything
Your house, your loved ones gone
I wonder how the coldness feels
When no warm blanket can be found
And the only place to lay your head
Is on a solid frozen ground
How can I touch that soul
Lighten the cross they bare
How can I make a difference
Lord, they need someone to care

There's a mother standing by a coffin
Her son in soldiers blue Tears falling like the raindrops
She don't know what to do
He fought hard for his country
A war he didn't survive
A purple heart for a hero
But she'd rather have him alive

WELL WRITTEN WITH PHRASES THAT TELL OF YOUR BURDEN FOR THEM AND I AGREE WITH YOU...THEY NEED SOMEONE TO CARE AND THEY HAVE SOMEONE THAT DOES CARES...HIS NAME IS JESUS...JESUS USES US TO HELP THEM AND WE DO THE BEST THAT WE CAN...WE PRAY FOR THEM AND WE GIVE WHAT WE CAN, WHEN WE CAN, IN WHATEVER WAY WE CAN.
