Man lying in the street
Bottle by his side
Kids in another state
His wife has died
Numbing his pain in a
Bottle, liquid fire
Finding out whiskey
Is nothing but a liar
Tears come as he pours
The whiskey down
Pain still there, coldness
All around
Clocks tick on...as sands from an Hourglass....
Giving out of time.....going too Fast.....
Little girl laying on her bed
Tears on her face
She feels like she don't
Belong anyplace
Daddys at the bar again
She wished he'd stay
She can't bear his rage
For another day
Bruises on her body
Sore and alone
No one to protect her
Since her Mommy's gone
Clock ticks on...as sands from and Hourglass...
Giving out of time...Going too
Fast...
Man holding a gun, His
World spinning around
His wife walked out
Living somewhere downtown
Deafening silence, he
Can't take anymore
His life ended when she
Walked out the door
Darkness engulfing him
Like the claws of death
Waiting like a vulture
For his last breath

Yes Linda ... sands through an hour glass as
time ticks away, and as our lives tick away;
searching for love and happiness. We are like the unfortunates souls you describe. Neither one of will win in what we are doing. Me loving you in a dead relationship, and you deluding your self and attempting to fly while tied to someone else in a dead relationship. Que Sera Sera. Someone close will know soon. And then what? Hi Linda, I can relate somewhat to this literary gem. Except I took care of my kids. As always you capture the mood of every piece.

Lovely Linda as only you can do. What most ignore you capture with such beauty, though it is so painful.
Major League ballplayer Justin Moore is kidnapped from his own ballpark and transported to a foreign land. It might take high-level international negotiations to free him. Or maybe he will take matters into his own hands.
