Dear Jesus

If I raise my hand in honor
Will you turn away
Do you still listen to me Jesus
As you did yesterday
Do you still love this sinner
Or have you left my side
Do you still cherish me Jesus
As on the day you died

Would you still listen
If I cried out your name
Would you see my many faults
Yet love me just the same
Would you dry my flowing tears
Reach down and help me stand
If I start to stumble Jesus
Could I hold your hand

Would you let me talk to you
As I did long ago
Lay my worries at your feet
As I turned to go
Would you welcome me back
In your heavenly fold
Guide my fleeting steps
Lead me out of the cold

A Sinner

Prayer can go the distance,
through the pain,
to where you are.
His love IS for you & I & all.

Wonderfully written. I have often found myself in search of the faith I once held. It is still there but at times it seems lost. Well done!

I have often felt that I wasn't worthy to have Jesus' Love because of my faults; but I now know He would never abandon me. I have thought about these same things myself from time to time; and this is when I need Jesus' Love and Help the most. We have ALL been there, and we NEED to rely on Jesus to help us through the rough times! Good write; truly enjoyed! (((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in Texas, Karen Lynn. :D

This poem affects me in a personal way, as my husband has recently recommited his life to Christ, and most of what your poem was portraying happened to be many of his personal feelings and questions as he was going through his private 'war'. He was shown God's mercy and grace, as we all are... if we trust in Him. I love this poem, and I thank you for writing it. ~ jh

lovely poem Linda. Sometimes your blessing is right in your face. It takes honest wise vision to see sometimes. Some people look for big miracles that never come but the true miracle of power might be the size of a dot. but that dot might stop your sentence at a very important point.
