Poem Artwork

Man

Get away Jesus, how can you love me
I'm a sinner , don't you know?

Jesus

I love you because you are mine
I can wash your sins white as snow.

Man

My heart is bleeding, I'm in pain
I don't want you botherin me!

Jesus

I am here to offer healing love
I'll set your demons free.

Man

I represent the man who nailed
You to the cross!

Jesus

It is my life's blood that flowed
To save ALL who are lost!

Man

I'm a gambler and a murderer
Go away and let me be!

Jesus

My son, I offer forgiveness
No sin is too big for me.

Man

I lost my wife and child
There's nothing to live for!

Jesus

Live for me, my son
God's love is forevermore.

Man

I cry out in anquish
Tears fall to my breasts.

Jesus

Put your faith in me, my child
And I will do the rest.

Man

How can you love the likes of me
I'm not fit to live!

Jesus

You will be born again, my son
A new life I will give.

Man

I can't take this pain alone
Jesus, please help me stand

Jesus

I've been here all along, my child
Waiting to take your hand.

Linda you did a great job on this creation in poetic form and in rhyme. the rhyme is fantastic. The story is very good and represents a position of forgiveness that only Jesus could provide. cheers and love G
