Poem Artwork

The wall keeps closing in
Keeping everything within
Time keeps marching on
Seems all hope is gone
I've struggled to be free
From the darkness inside me
No key to unlock this door
And I don't want to take this anymore

Dark clouds is all I see
Slowly suffocating me
Wrapped up inside myself
Knowing theres nothing left
Tears fall like gentle rain
They can't camouflage my pain
Too many to keep score
And I don't want to take this anymore

I search for a little light
There is none in sight
Sinking deeper in despair
I look but no ones there
Time slipping through my hands
No one understands
My life in pieces on the floor
And I don't want to take this anymore

Your broken pieces from the floor
I will pick up by the score
My friend, You know I have been there before
And I will continue to be forever more

Wow you capture the depths of pain so many feel.
They say it's aways darkest just before the dawn. I hope so.
Hang in their special lady.
You are needed more than you know.
HUGS,
John

Hi Linda
I'm wondering if there might be some area of your life that is working and just does not weigh in as much as the pain. One way to find light is to focus on what is not so noticable. Balanced things don't make a splash. Find some very simple thing that you never have to think about working the way it is supposed to, and then ask yourself what it is about it that makes it easy.

Then don't. It's your choise to make, no one elses. Do what's good for you and the rest will pall into place.

Hey, if this is fiction, it's great. If it isn't, you have already solved your problem by putting it to pen and allowing the rest of us a chance to tell you that you are not alone. We are behind you and care for you. You are good and things ALWAYS works out.

Hang in there Linda, It's always the darkest before the light breaks through. I pray that it will happen soon for you. Don't despair that never solves anything. You are a great and sensitive person who needs God's helping hand. I will pray that you get it.
Love and hugs

Very powerful poem, Linda.

But keep looking for that light - it's there somewhere; it always is.
