Working hard on finishing one of my books...needed a little break...but no! My muse won't leave me alone.....giggle....

Blank page glares at me!
Accusing, annoyed, without mercy!
My quill is mired in a deep well of thoughts.
The link between mind and paper…lost!
Ah! But my stubborn muse, overbearing at times,
Is not pleased! She is unwavering in her role.
Heartlessly pestering me, she is complacent,
For she knows her resolve will triumph!
It always does! It just did!

When I first became a member of AD I would often end up writing three or four poems a day and in time literally had to limit myself to posting only one a day. I still may write more than one but put them in pending files now for when those dry spells show up.

Yeah, that's the way to do it. When you can't think of anything to write, when your mind is blocked, write about not writing. Me,I get up to get another cup of coffee, or go for a bike ride, or take Kody for a walk. And guess what? Sometimes I'm still blocked. When writing my books, getting stuck in traffic with nothing to do but wait I'd usually become "unblocked."

The blank page will never stay blank if you will just begin to write anything, snip pits of school days, etc., anything and the mind will jump back in gear. But, as you said, it did anyway. Cute.
