I am welcome here…
Nature has opened her arms to me,
Embracing me with the warmth
Of a loving mother soothing her child!
There’s sweet serenity in the little cabin
Tucked seamlessly into the forest
As though planted there by the trees.
Giant birch and pines stand guard,
Ever watchful, eternally protective!
A hint of wood smoke lingers
Inside the cosy warmth of the cabin
Where a wood stove crackles softly
Glowing embers dancing to and fro!
Into the blissful silence,
My spirit slowly retreats!
Life slows down with every breath
As tension releases its merciless grip!
The blank page in my journal
Not so intimidating anymore…
As with an ever so tender nudge,
My muse works her magic!

Such a magical write and place that one can only dream of.
Had the chance one year, but my yanky g/f blew me out.
Such a lovely poem, that brings many wonderful dreamy thoughts.
