Far too young to distinguish
True love from reckless lust
Her body ripe with womanhood
In him she place her trust.
He stole the youthful innocence
She placed within his hands
And threw all caution to the wind
Consequences be damned!
The stars aligned so perfectly
A babe conceived that night,
Woman-child, her head in the clouds
No concept of her plight!
When the truth at last revealed
They were married in great haste!
But alas! She soon became aware
Her life with him was a waste!
She bore his infidelity
His lies, his cheating heart!
Until she finally realised
He’d deceived her from the start!
She’s older now, and wiser too,
Great wisdom comes with age!
And of all the chapters in her book
He was just an empty page!

I have empty pages too (love this concept) but these empty ones make the words on the other pages more appreciated. xx

Hopefully, that's true; and hopefully, regrets will be few.
My best progress is usually in spite of myself.
Very well done as always.
Do wish life was more fun.
