My latest poem about love and fighting for freedom.

Fighting for Love
(August 10, 2010)

See you later darling
This is not good-bye
I will be returning
Back into your life

I am only leaving
Because I have no choice
Fighting for our freedom
For the right of voice

I am not a quitter
I will not back down
I will be returning
Once I’ve won the crown

Your love will keep me burning
It will keep me strong
Always deep inside me
Where it belongs

See you later darling
I’ll be on my way
Let my love inside you
Never let it stray

I will never leave you
I won’t say good-bye
You’re the most important
Person in my life

You’re what keeps me going
Every day and night
You’re what gives me courage
To stand up and fight

For the love of freedom
For the right of voice
You and I forever
That’s my only choice

Always and forever
You and I will be
Nothing is going stop me
When you’re here with me

True love can indeed be a source of strength and a great motivator; there are many levels of love however. Sometimes I think there ought to be as many words for love as the Inuit people have words for "snow." Love and best wishes,

Strong emotional love sometimes must step back to someday find it's rightful place in the heart. A good write Lena.
