[re: internalized sexism amongst women]

Sluts of the world, oh women, oh girls
this time it is fine to unite!
To hell with well wishing romances when

we screw men who screw our best friends
clutching romantic love above all
we did hide,
though we hated to see our friends
writhe so with hurt pride.
But what can we do?
Our mothers fed us to our fathers,
we are tired of playing the martyrs!

Mom protected her man instead of their child,
so we grew up wild, we'd show 'em, we're not going to play at that game.
But we ate at the table where Mom served us fables of our weakness, and selfishness,
whilst the real culprit: Dad’s toxic shaming--
she enabled!

we tried harder to earn Dad's respect, screw our women, find true love in men
But when we fell for our daddies disguised, the lovers we also did hate for
their willingness to blame us
berate, humiliate,
We proved Dad right and mom too when our own self we rejected as
not right, what a sight: we went crazy
Somehow it seemed we believed that would show 'em, our parents whose parents thus did fail!

We never thought how
we still proved them right,
especially in the full bodied night when
we screwed men who we
know screwed our friend.

Believe it’s not our problem,
hope she's doing well,
we're clean, and their issues
we can't possibly scheme
to solve, unaware
that our judgement may be clouded
by our enormous hunger for love and for touch
and all the needs that weren't met way back when it most mattered.

We are the ones who are terrified
of being without a man,
who feed our friends sugary friendship.
to help them forget him, to get over, we lend a shoulder, for
we can't bear to think
there's a better way to hold her.
Oh no, we must protect our little soldier.

We believe we should not have to go on
without love, his
and perhaps we are right,
because that's just how it is
in the end we will make sacrifices great
for our lover,
and take flight, as taught by Mother,
shut our eyes to what he says to our girls
or our friends.

Sluts of the world,
how hard to awaken, so long ago
we have been raped, ruptured and taken
from our natural place amongst women, Our Pride

We've been abandoned to find safety from
men-boys: make us feel holy,
But can we truly mend, while our friends
they pretend not to hurt or disgrace?
He has such a sweet face and I love having a place where he comes
From tiresome pursuits of "I me my"

Sluts of the world, we are really just girls,
Wanting Daddys to look at us right
Sluts of the world we are
martyrs and saints
and we work and we work with nary complaint
As if work will make us more holy
Sluts of the world, we are immature girls
We do not dare to believe in each other....
How can we be more when we were being formed
it was we who could not trust our own mothers?

Sluts of the world, oh sluts of the world,
do they care about us as their nets they unfurl
as their hair we do twirl in our fingers?
Sluts of the world, we run to the kitchen
Or other addictions
For we feed on the pain of our men like hens
upon scatter

Sluts of the world our men we will heal
But the woman in pain is not quite as real
For we love the cock, as he loves the clock
and his wallet and secrets and our honey.

Sluts of the world, what ever shall we do?
We never quite grew into women
We are too tired to try
To hold thou and I
Or to mold a new form
Out of all that is worn, we are weary.
