Muck was a mud-cake
Shaped by little hands
stirring dirt and water
in a pie pan.
The top was smoothed
with a stick
and gravelled
for effect,
Tossed into the microwave
it bubbled and steamed
radiated and abandoned
there came a savage scream.
Bursting through the door
come suddenly to life
Paddy went on a rampage
with a kitchen knife.
But Whiskers, mighty house cat,
was on the job that day
he hissed and leaped to battle
the monstrous piece of clay.
Flashing paws sliced and diced
the cat danced and feigned with grace
the mud-cake monster died then
toppling on its face.
Whiskers retired for a nap
and mother found the mess
she yelled at little suzy
who had mud on her dress.
The girl was made to clean
the splatters everywhere.
Then had to take a bath
because of the mud in her hair.
Now let this be a lesson
if you're fond of mud
add in radiation and
you'll be fighting Muck.
