I dove into The Deep,
where the Living Waters run
at the beckon of a Loving friend
singing "we are One."

On sight the waves were ominous--
the water sounded fridgid;
bracing boldly for the Shock,
I held my breathing rigid.

Then through this chance
to leave behind
my isolated past,
I clenched my eyes
and pierced my fear--
I dove in search of the song
at last.

As my body broke the surface
I thought surly I would die;
Life's waters engulfed my senses
pandamonium passed before my eyes.

Untold terror gripped my heart,
endless regrets asailed my soul,
as subconscious currents
pulled me down
and the Higher Power took control.

And there just beneath the turmoil
to Spirit's ultimate pleasure,
I stepped into my authentic "Self."
and boundless Connection to treasure.
