Unhealed

Dwelling in the drunken shadows of exploded time

In this, the realm of my untuned reality

I feed my misshapen ego

On thoughts of super-human powers

In my silent secrets, I believe

That I can quell your unending fears

That somehow, I will touch your soul

And heal your broken spirit

I am the mistress of the wind

I breathe the air that fills your sails

And I shall guide you safely into

The Harbor Of The Light.

In the suffocating parameters of your consciousness

The sun breaks the icy haze of your dreams

And rips through your entire being with

The cold fragmented shards of your skewed truths

For you, the beauty of the rose fades

Beside the biting sting of the piercing thorn

In your chosen darkness, the harsh realities

Have become the cradle of your soul

Sleep welcomes the evil master of the night

Who locks, more tightly, the gates to your happiness

And as the tears fall like rain, from your blinded eyes

You flood the house made of your paper dreams

As I try to paint your life in colors of gentle memories

The dark reality presses in from the corners of the canvas

You unwillingly drag your limp body into the garden of hope

And paint the pictures of your forgotten dreams
