Bridge Across Forever
I wonder where we’d be today
If you loved me as I love you
Through raging rain and darkest storms
Would the sky appear still blue
Or would we hurt and bolt and cry
Turn and walk away
Or would our bond be strong enough
To smile and love today
I always thought (now odd it seems)
When I gave complete my heart
That he would give his back to me
That we would never part
Life is not that fair most times
And love’s not in our hands
It seems the Spirit up above
Controls the Master Plan
I see the sky I taste the rain
The days become the past
Deep inside an emptiness
That never seems to pass
I pray each night that I’ll awake
To a new and sunny day
That the heaviness within my heart
Will have softly washed away
When you find what you are looking for
And hold it in your hand
It’s tough when it’s a dream of sorts
Not in the Master’s Plan
Funny though, it is a fact
If I could write the song again
The melody would stay the same
No matter of the end
For life is meant to find your dreams
And the love you’ve always known
So even if the tree won’t grow
The seeds must still be sown
To know love, is a blessing
A warm gift to the heart
Much like a lovely sunset
Beckoning the dark
Then from the darkness one by one
The stars do soon appear
They bring a beauty to the night
That drives away all fear
As time goes on and life unfolds
New joy must be the goal
For love is always meant to be
A blessing for the soul
So when we lose our soul’s true love
It’s not sad tears we cry
For deep within our heart we know
True love can never die
Love…is the bridge across forever.

Wise thoughts, Sherry; often times hard to achieve though. Thank you. Love and peace to you,
