Grand Illusion

Misery loves company
I’ve heard some people say
But it never really rang a bell
‘Til you were spouting off today

Bringing up the past times
Your words always the same
You waste away your lifetime
Passing out the blame

Bygones should be bygones
And time should temper hate
Yet you’re wasting so much precious time
Blaming others for your fate

It really is amazing how
You’re the only one who’s right
And the other humans in the world
Are lacking your insight

It seems your sole ambition
To make all the people sad
And drag all others down so low
That you just don’t look so bad

Your petty acts and cutting words
Will come back at you one day
And bite you like a rabid dog
That’s karma, as they say

It’s really sad that you don’t learn
That different is not wrong
Accept yourself and all the rest
And just learn to get along
