Don't say a word, Don't ever tell
Silence I swore to be quiet, and that I would never tell If anyone asked I was supposed to say that I fell Be quiet, be quiet, be still he always said Because if I didn’t he would cut off my Head He showed me his knife and said he had killed before A little girl unwanted like me, but now she didn’t hurt anymore If I told anyone about this Pain, he said it would be me to carry the Shame I tried to stay quiet, silent and still, but I knew it would be Me next that he would Kill

Yes,sir. My situation has changed, quite dramatically, thank God. I never tried writing Poetry before, and low and behold when I did, the first things to come out are life long secrets that I truly thought I would never share.
I was only 5 then. Now I'm the Mother of 3, married to a great guy and my kids love me. I try to keep the dark shadows were they belong.

Tragic poetry, my friend, and all too real in real-life situations. I sincerely wish I was put in charge of people such as you wrote about. Public flogging would only be a starter, the real pain would come later. You did well with this, K.T.
