Likened to a transparent envelope

Appearing vertically and astute

Was a Lizard on a Window Pane.

Came there like a lost piece of mail

Had no stamp nor forwarding address

What it did have was an elongated body

A replaceable tail and moveable eyelids.

My curiosity soon got the better of me

So I approached the lizard to investigate

But when I was closing in time stopped

Found myself in a position quite unusual.

In pharmacology it would be called therapeutic

Touching the lizard gently had a calming affect

Felt like I was on my back floating downstream

And when I touched it too hard, almost OD'ed.

I was no longer in my specific area

Now had entered earth's outer limits

Traveling in space with no destination

My brain's display screen had clouded up.

Awoke dazed back in my small apartment

Heard a voice, "Hey, you alright?" said the

Window cleaner; "What time is it?" I asked

"High noon;" I had been out of it for six hours.
